I’m feeling very grateful that 6 years after its first publication, my hybrid novella-in-flash Three Men on the Edge (V. Press, 2018) has recently gone to a third print run. I feel blessed that it’s still reaching readers and that they’re willing to engage with what is quite a quirky book.
What can I tell you about Three Men on the Edge? Well, I describe the book as hybrid because it’s not a typical story-driven novella-in-flash (a.k.a novella composed from short-short stories), since it’s often written instead as narrative prose poetry. It’s also three mini-“NIF”s rather than one, all set in the same location on the edge of London. It might especially appeal to readers with an interest in more lyrical writing, or poetic forms. You can find a sample story at the link below.
Shortlisted in the Saboteur Awards 2019. Special mention from the Chair of judges at the Republic of Consciousness Prize.
You can also read some reviews at the link below, including this recent one, which I very much appreciated from Flash: the International Short-Short Story Magazine: “a compelling mix… a moving and thought-provoking exploration of landscape both interior and exterior.”
